Looking for a Beta
Dear F-List,

now that I actually have an F-List to speak of, I thought I ask here first, though I know most of you are probably pretty busy with their own ongoing writing projects.

I'm looking for a beta reader for my first TW fic. It's a multi-chapter, Ianto-centric, post-Exit Wounds WIP.
I've already written about 16k of words (approx. 7 chapters) and know pretty well where this is supposed to be going (might have an adult chapter or two later but nothing outrageous *w*).

I need someone to iron out my language kinks and point out any logical flaws. I'm also open to general proposals on how this story could be improved because I want people to get at least as much enjoyment out of reading as I get from writing it.

In return for beta services, I offer all sorts of virtual goodies (chocolate chip cookies, big cups of Ianto's best brew etc.) and eternal devotion.

A while ago, I read something about a community where you can post beta-requests but of course I haven't put it in my memories (that would make things far too easy now, wouldn't it). If someone could point me in the right direction on that one, I'd be most grateful.

So if you feel up to this challenge and/or have some advice on the subject let me know. Any comments will make me a happy fangirl.

Love,
doctor_addicted x

Dear lovely addicted,
I happily offer beta services. Let me know if you want to send anything my way, let me know and I'll send you my e-mail address!

SQUEEEE!

*is jumping up and down like a kangaroo on a double espresso*

Thanks for friending me and thanks for your offer. I'll gladly take it.
I would send you my first two chapters or so to see what you think. No rush though - I'm a perfectionist in every sense of the word and it takes me ages to write stuff the way I might actually consider showing to the general public so actual posting might be a long time coming.

You are very welcome on both counts. My e-mail is melisajury@msn.com. Take your time--as anxious as I am to read, I understand the creative process. I re-read all my stuff so often that sometimes I have to let it sit for a while before reading it again so I can actually enjoy it.
